Physiotherapists

Finland is a Nordic welfare state, where social security and health care have been developed for a long time period for centuries. There is comprehensive network of municipal services and other forms of public health care, which is supplemented by a system of private service providers.

Physiotherapists in Finland are employed in municipal health centers, in hospitals, in private clinics and various institutions, and in occupational health services. They also work as independent private practitioners.

Private Practitioners

Continuously increasing numbers of physiotherapists work as private or owners of a private clinic . The Association gives much consideration to promote the interests of private practitioners and to support their business efforts. Specially tailored advisory services, business training and guidance booklets are available for members working as private practitioners or intending to set up private practitioners themselves and are experts at the local level.
